Felt is an excellent material to make any type of crafts, since in the first place it is economic and has rigid texture which is very easy to handle.
In the tutorial that I share today, you will see how easy it is make felt butterflies.
Includes the mold that is ready to save and print.
Materials to make a felt butterfly:
- Felt in the desired colors
- Thread in a color that matches the felt
- Water
- Decorative elements such as buttons, ribbons and tulle
- Wooden stick
Mold to make felt butterflies:
El mold is ready so you can save it on your computer and print.
You can expand it If you want to make bigger butterflies, like to make decorative pillows for example.
Steps to make felt butterflies:
Step 1:
We cut out the molds In the felt, as we see in the image, we use two colors, pink for the largest butterfly and red for the smallest one.
We cut the little body in the pink felt.
so that the butterfly we are more rigid and with body, we cut out two large butterflies.
Step 2:
We cook the two large butterflies, using stitching in another color that contrasts with the felt.
We glue the little body of the butterfly, on the red wings, as we see in the image.
Step 3:
Finally, we glue one piece on the other.
We decorate as we like, in this case, use pearls for the eyes and decorate with buttons and ribbon.
If they are going to use them for souvenirs, the most fun would be stick them on a wooden stick, previously lined with fabric or simply painted.
In this case line stick with pink ribbon to match the colors of the butterfly.
Also place a tulle strip down the butterfly.
