What do you think if we give a new life to a skirt long that we no longer wear? Surely many of you keep clothes that, once time has passed, you don't put on, but you don't get rid of them either.
That is the case with the long denim skirt that I had at home. Many years ago I bought it in a sale, I wore it a few times and it was forgotten in the back of the closet. Now, converted into a short skirt with uneven length, maybe he'll have a new chance in my closet.
Materials
- Long skirt
- Scissors
- A marker
- Needles
- Hilo
Our Process
We will stretch the skirt, overlapping the right and left parts, on a flat surface where we can fit, in this case, on the ground. Later, We will mark the start from the front with a needle and we will define the length towards the back leaving a small tail, as we see in the photo below.
Once this is done, we will cut along the marked line and we will go on to make the hem. How is a hippie style denim skirt, I have preferred to leave the bass unpolished and fray it a bit . But Remember that if you want to hem it you must leave a couple of centimeters more in the length to be able to do it.
Until the next DIY!
