Hello everybody! In today's craft we are going to see how to make this funny caterpillar for kids, in a simple way and using egg cartons.

Materials that we will need to make this caterpillar for children
- Egg cartons, you can use cartons that already have different colors or you can paint them in colors with markers or tempera.
- Card of the color we want.
- Crafts Eyes
- Scissors.
- Hot glue gun
Hands on craft
- We will cut out five egg cup holes. If they are of different colors we can start to assemble the caterpillar and if not this is the time to paint the cardboard. We will wait until they are dry to continue with the craft. It is important that the holes are well cut so that they remain stable when placed on the table.
- We will glue the five holes by putting them in a row. You can put the first hole, which will be the head, in a different color from the rest of the body where we can alternate the colors. When gluing the holes you can put a piece of cardboard underneath and then cut it out following the outline.
- Once we have the body of the caterpillar, we will glue craft eyes in the head.
- We will draw on cardboard two antennas and a mouth, which we will cut out and glue also in the head. You can add any other detail that you can think of, such as bow ties, stripes on the body, eyebrows, etc.
And ready! We have finished our caterpillar. You can create the caterpillars with the colors you want and even design what the butterfly that comes out of our caterpillar will be like. You can see crafts on butterflies in the following links:
